Caribbean Travel

Coming in 2009 more wonderful choices for the discriminating traveler.

The Ritz-Carlton Rose Island, Bahamas will be an integral part of a Ritz-Carlton-branded, private, 230-acre enclave which in addition to the hotel will eventually include a sheltered marina for yachts, estate homes, condominiums, and townhouses. It will provide a new level of luxury in one of the Caribbean's most idyllic vacation settings.

The hotel site will be on the western side of the island, with a north facing beach. The guestrooms and suites will average 550 square feet and feature large balconies. Other planned amenities include a swimming pool, lavish spa, gourmet restaurant, and intimate meeting space.

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Lucia will be an exclusive 275-room oceanfront resort situated on Half Moon Bay, near Laborie, St. Lucia. All rooms will have ocean views and guests will benefit from a tranquil, protected bay at Half Moon Bay with spectacular views of St. Lucia's verdant "Piton" volcanoes.

The project will feature a 20,000 square-foot spa and access to two 18-hole golf courses overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with a shared clubhouse facility. Arnold Palmer will design the main golf course, with eventual plans for a second golf course designed in a "links" style by the Irish golf course architect Christy O'Connor Jr. The resort will include a specialty restaurant with pool grill, a 30-seat lobby lounge, and a 130-seat clubhouse restaurant and bar situated close to the oceanfront golf course.
